About the role
We are transforming and you have the opportunity to work across large enterprise-wide risk and control uplift projects. Based at any of our Head Office locations, this permanent, full-time Project Manager Role reports to the Governance Stream Lead with key responsibilities relating to co-ordinating and facilitating various activities required to support the delivery of specific deliverables within the Governance workstream to ensure the business value of the program is met. You will also manage escalations, remove impediments and providing reporting to Stream Lead, Business Sponsor, Project Management Office and required governance committees. You will play a role in all aspects of the delivery lifecycle, which could include design, implementation, embedment.
Within this role, flexibility is key, as you may be providing support to the Stream Lead and Business Sponsor in coordinating a large, complex enterprise-level project across multiple activities and coordinating across streams. You may be expected to facilitate Discoveries, assume Iteration Management for a specific Initiative, support stakeholder management activities or undertake implementation planning, just to name a few.
You will be responsible for the delivery of multiple activities (using Agile methods) in a fast-paced environment that may intersect with multiple other transformation workstreams. The role will be exposed to deliverables in areas including: Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate and Risk Governance, Risk and Regulatory Reporting and Model Risk Management. The program also spans across Risk and Compliance, Risk Culture, People and accountability processes and Data management
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience as a Project Manager working across enterprise-wide projects. Risk and assurance project experience is preferred but not essential
- Experience in Scrum/Agile Project Management including supporting and empowering teams in an agile environment is essential
- Proven ability to lead projects ensuring objectives, goals, and commitments are met
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and facilitate workshops with a wide range of stakeholders and effectively influencing across the organisation and projects to meet an outcome
- Exposure to working with strategic partners and vendors
- Change management experience
- Exposure to interacting with Senior Management and building trust and confidence
- Banking, finance or risk, industry experience
- Experience in enabling continuous improvement in project management practices. Knowledge of project tools (such as Jira and Confluence), project governance, financial budgeting/forecasting and reporting.
