About the team
We have reshaped our Business Banking model to provide a better experience for our customers and employees. We have a new Sales Support team to support our front-line teams and free up capacity for them to provide even greater customer focus than before. Our front-line teams consist of Business Bankers plus Associates who all work to provide customer service excellence by delivering a seamless experience for the customer.

About the role
As a Relationship Associate you will be partnered Business Bankers and their customer portfolios. You will deepen existing customer relationships through understanding our customers’ needs and providing relevant solutions across all Business & Agribusiness product suites. You will onboard new customers, obtain all necessary information and documentation, complete the application form and look after all ongoing portfolio maintenance.
In line with our customer value proposition to make business personal, you will build strong relationships with our customers via phone and email as well as having the opportunity to join in on customer visits.
As we get ready to launch our new model we are looking to fill multiple permanent positions. You can be based anywhere across Australia, provided you have access to one of our corporate offices or business banking centres. Hybrid ways of working are core to how we operate today and flexible work options are available. We are also open to the role being either full time or part time (0.8 FTE or up), so talk to us about what flexibility looks like to you.
Does this sound like you?
We are looking for someone who is highly skilled in engaging and communicating with customers and who takes genuine care in supporting their needs, plus:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- Influencing skills and ability to be an effective conduit between the front line and support teams
- Ability to have a sales conversation with a customer and provide solution-based outcomes
- An understanding of loan structuring, credit requirements and the end-to-end lending process
- Financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret financial statements
- High attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and remain organised and multi-task in a busy role
