About the team and role
As part of our growth strategy, we are mobilising a national team to service our agribusiness customers in the under $750K lending space. Using multiple digital channels, including virtually and on the phone, this team supports our existing customers to grow and attracts new customers to our Agribusiness proposition.
As the Agribusiness Direct Service Associate you will build a strong connection with new and existing customers while identifying opportunities to strengthen the business relationship. Working closely with the Agribusiness Direct Managers you will deliver win-win solutions that meet the customer’s needs, and the Bank’s growth target and risk appetite.
On any given day you might :
- Respond to customer requests for information or assistance
- Communicate with customers to gain insights into their business and banking requirements
- Match appropriate products/services to our customers’ needs
- Prepare and administer loan files
- Manage the end-to-end loan application process including preparing application forms and credit submissions, settlements, file administration and maintenance
- Process documentation, loan applications and evaluations
- Complete annual reviews
- Monitor loan arrears and account irregularities, taking appropriate action with customers
This is a full-time, permanent position, which can be based in any location, providing you have access to one of our regional or corporate office locations. We offer flexible work options and hybrid ways of working are core to how we operate today with at least 2 days working from the office.
About you
We’re looking for someone with passion, knowledge or aspiration for agriculture and food or fibre production, plus:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively build relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and team members.
- Relationship building skills to support customer needs and interactions with key stakeholders.
- Financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, policies, procedures and products/services.
- Accurate processing skills with a focus on attention to detail and prioritisation of workflow.
- Self-motivated and proactive style with a growth mindset.
- Excellent problem solving, time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting customer delivery deadlines.
- An understanding of the end-to-end lending process is highly regarded.
