About the team  

The Customer Enablement Division provide frontline relationship support and service and develop strong and sustainable partnerships to a wide range of customers and partners.

The Customer Operations function contributes towards this vision by developing and executing strategies which will deliver our products and services to our customers in an efficient and cost-effective manner. A culture of operational excellence underpins this, with the delivery of a highly efficient and robust operational platform impacting the experience of our customers and partners, which in turns delivers to the customer value proposition.

About the role

As the Senior Manager Wealth Operations & Transaction Support, you will be a key member of the Customer Operations Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Head of Customer Operations. You will have a strong focus on operational management, people leadership and development and responsible for leading and driving the performance of the wealth and transaction support teams within the division.

You’ll get to:

  • Lead and develop a high performing team culture across multi skilled teams with continuous improvement as a key driver to develop and implement “a better way” of doing things.
  • Build and develop key relationships across the broader Group including Retail/ Third Party Banking, Wealth Management, Financial Markets, Products, Consumer Risk, Business Banking, Group Legal and Workforce Management.
  • Drive and lead innovated solutions and initiatives to meet strategic objectives in relation to operational processing excellence.
  • Develop and lead a strong risk and compliance culture and create an environment that effectively operates within all the Banks risk and compliance requirements and policies.

This a full time 12-month fixed term opportunity and ideally will be based at one of our corporate offices in Adelaide, Bendigo or Melbourne but open to location for the right candidate.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a Legal or Business-related discipline would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in Operational Processing Leadership functions is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking operations across a specific area(s) e.g. lending assessment, fulfillment, settlement, account support, transactions support or wealth management
  • Experience and understanding of operational risk & compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and people management capabilities with the ability to lead, motivate and build high performing teams.
  • Strong relationship building skills to work with multiple stakeholders with the ability to advise, influence and negotiate.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address and solve complex business problems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
