What you will enjoy doing
- To assist with day to day management and supervision of the Depot team in order to provide an efficient and safe cylinder delivery service to LPG residential and commercial customers
- Assist with ensuring the highest level of service is maintained and is in line with industry standards and regulations, codes of practices, standard operating procedures and Elgas policies
- To fully understand Depot infrastructure, including process safety, on-site management of visitors and contractors, as required
- With support from the Depot Manager, provide leadership and direction to allocated Team members
- In conjunction with the Depot Manager, assist with peak load staff planning for peak demand periods (winter and summer peaks) and leave absences are in place to ensure delivery KPIs are met
- Manage timesheets, annual leave and call out schedules for the drivers in conjunction with the Depot Manager as required
- Escalate performance and disciplinary issues to the Depot Manager or Business Manager is part of your role
What makes you great
- You have more than two years’ experience in the Gas Industry, or a related industry with similar dynamics, with logistics/distribution experience at a supervisory level
- Class 2HT license and able to drive a manual transmission
- A Dangerous Good licence is advantageous
- Be physically fit, as there is lots of heavy lifting involved
- A strong commitment to Health and Safety, and a solid understanding of compliance processes to meet statutory requirements
- Further, you have a proven leadership and relationship-building abilities, coupled with strong decision-making, problem solving and written and verbal communication skills
