What you will enjoy doing

  • In this role you must provide prompt resolution of customer issues and prevent poor customer experience through adherence to the on boarding process for new customers, maintaining correct data on existing customers and contracts
  • You will maintain a strong customer relationship and manage issues with the customer to provide the best customer experience through problems that may occur. Account Management is part of your role
  • Build relationships with key decision makers/stakeholders at multiple levels. You will provide prompt resolution of customer issues and prevent poor customer experience through adherence to the on boarding process for new customers, maintaining correct data on existing customers and contracts
  • Generates varied/multiple solutions to problems both internally and for the customer, as well as manage, reviews and implement changes to accounts as required based on performance
  • Develop account plans for the market sector customers, understand market dynamics, pricing and negotiations. You will review customer’s strategies in line with changing customer need to determine current and future opportunities for BOC and informs the relevant Market Segment
  • Identify and quantify growth objectives for target customers and create a strategy to capture this business against target milestones set out in the plan
  • You will prospect for new customers while growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio and confidentially negotiates contract details with the help of commercial resources in a reasonable timeframe

What makes you great

  • You hold a tertiary qualified in an engineering, science or other related discipline
  • You have minimum 5 years in industrial gases or market sector related industry in an engineering or business development related discipline (highly desirable)
  • In-depth knowledge of customer needs and technical expertise within a market sector is required with strong negotiation skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, good business and commercial acumen with strong pricing and contract management skills are needed
  • Further a good understanding of price management (gross margin, mark-up, pricing and profit) is a plus and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • You hold a clean Driver's License
