We are actively seeking an enthusiastic Production Manager to join our Quarries division. This role is ultimately responsible for providing support to our Deer Park operation, with a strong focus on achieving safe and quality outcomes through effective staff and customer management.

Key Duties

• Accept and carry out responsibilities in accordance with the relevant Boral HSE system.
• Supervise and coordinate operations to meet product output requirements.
• Establish and maintain high standards of work performance and optimum levels of product / equipment quality.
• Ensure that plant and equipment are operated within safe working conditions and to ensure that Boral Quarries operations meet the environmental and legislative requirements.
• Maintain and control expenditure within agreed budget guidelines and report variations to the Operations Manager – Deer Park Quarry.
• Anticipate future production requirements and devise appropriate action plans.
• Implement and maintain the Quality Assurance program in regards to specifications, service and customer requirements.
• Ensure that customers receive high quality products and services consistent with or better than expectations through:
  • Timely and accurate information;
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to coordinate timely maintenance functions;
  • Technically sound decisions; and
  • Clear regular communication particularly making them aware of Boral policies and practices.

What are we looking for?

• Relevant qualifications in quarry supervision, such as a Diploma or Cert IV in Extractive Industries;
• Strong leadership attributes including good people management skills and emotional intelligence
• Ability to manage, influence and build rapport with stakeholders from a variety of functions to effectively contribute to customer satisfaction
• Desire and focus to maintain a production team operation whilst maintaining morale
