About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking a responsible and organised individual to join our team as the Batcher at our new West Gosford Concrete Plant. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the batching, loading, materials control, maintenance, safety, administration, and general daily operation of a pre-mixed concrete batching plant and its environment.
This is a permanent, full-time role that will require you to work on Saturdays. This is a fantastic opportunity aimed at developing critical production skills that will contribute towards your progression at Boral.
Duties
Primarily based in the Central Coast region, you will be responsible for:
- Accurate batching of concrete to specified mix designs
- Managing hazards and safety reporting
- Day-to-day administration including stock control of raw materials
- General yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance
- Safe operation of a front end loader (training will be provided)
About You
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- A strong commitment to safety and the environment along with a superior customer focus
- Self-motivated, reliable and an ability to show initiative
- Demonstrated leadership attributes
- Current HR drivers’ licence is desirable but not essential
- A front-end loader ticket is preferred (we can organise training)
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills along with sound computer literacy
- A proven ability to work within a team
- Relevant batching and/or concrete industry experience is desirable but not essential
- Availability to work Monday to Saturday
- Ability to effectively supervise concrete truck drivers
- Strong customer service understanding and focus
