About the Opportunity
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a driven & hands-on Fleet Manager to join Boral Concrete!
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety, operational and compliance performance of our Agitator Fleet across QLD, NT and WA. You will effectively lead and mentor a team of dedicated and experienced professionals, as well as actively contribute to commercial & strategic initiatives.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Brisbane. To support the geographic range this position will cover, candidates with the flexibility to travel across QLD, NT and WA are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Ensure all fleet and vehicles are operating and compliant in line with safety, heavy vehicle legislation, and mass/ maintenance management requirements
- Actively monitor Telemetry Systems to ensure drivers are adhering to relevant road laws
- Effectively manage contractual queries, negotiations of Concrete Cartage Agreements and cartage rate reviews
- Investigate and resolve complaints and claims
- Identify opportunities for better productivity and availability of Company and Contractor Trucks
- Partner with maintenance teams to ensure all works are carried out correctly and as required
- Effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and present to senior leaders within Boral
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or similar, concrete industry preferred but not essential
- Experience working in a systemised process environment (national organisation)
- Understanding of purchasing protocols and corporate subcontractor management systems
- Strong mechanical and compliance mindset
- Well-developed financial and commercial acumen
- Good reporting and communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management
