About the Opportunity
We have a rare, leadership opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to oversee Boral’s national Cement Packaged Products line.
Reporting to the National General Manager Sales, you will be responsible for leading & supporting our dedicated team of 10 industry professionals. You will have the opportunity to develop our market strategy and drive performance. As the key representative of our products, you will partner with new and existing customers to maintain meaningful relationships, and identify areas of growth and improvement.
This opportunity is well suited to an Industrial and Trade Retail expert with the proven ability to mentor and guide small to medium sized teams. Your commercial acumen and versatility in partnering with a variety of customers will contribute to your success in this role.
Duties
- Leading selling activities with the aim to achieve forecasted company sales, planned growth and market share.
- Creating and maintaining sales plans through identifying and reporting on new business opportunities in respect to new markets, product applications and industry developments.
- Maintaining and enhancing Boral’s reputation with customers, buying groups and re-sellers
- Identifying and recommending improved selling, merchandising and after sales service techniques
- Planning and providing the training and development of sales and support staff.
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrated experience as a Sales Manager within the Industrial and Trade Retail sector
- Proven ability in partnering with both large and small customers, including buying groups
- Success in leading a high performing and cohesive team, coupled with a passion for development
- Strong initiative to identify opportunities for growth and improvement across sales and processes
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence a variety of stakeholders
