Based at our Quarry in Moy Pocket and reporting to the Quarry Manager, we are looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician, whose primary focus will be on the day to day sampling and testing of quarry products.
Key duties:
- Collect samples for analytical and physical testing
- Be aware of the hazards associated with this & operate in a safe manner
- Know what equipment to use and how to carry out pre-operation checks
- Follow a schedule of day to day tasks
- Generate reports & keep accurate records
- Maintain the laboratory in accordance with NATA accreditation requirements
- Evaluate test results & reports.
Must haves:
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (preferred)
- 3 years testing experience (5 years preferred)
- Experience in quality control testing of construction material
- Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
- Commitment to quality & safety
- White Card
- Drivers Licence
