Senior Management Accountant | North Ryde
Our National Finance Centre are consistently looking at ways in which they can provide best in class financial support to the broader Boral Australia business. An opportunity has arisen for a ‘forward thinking’ Management Accountant to join the team at our North Ryde office.
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, your main responsibilities will include;
- Completing any tasks required to close out the month end process with a specific focus on the financial results for your allocated business unit.
- Ensuring all Accounting processes comply with Boral Accounting Policies and Accounting standards.
- Preparing and completing monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with Finance and Business Unit stakeholders.
- Identifying and facilitating the effective resolution of Business issues with Finance and Business Unit Stakeholders.
- Working closely with the Senior Management Accountant to drive and monitor the standardisation of Business Unit Accounting, reporting and processes.
- Identifying and participating in continuous improvement activities and projects to support best practice, standardisation, and overall efficiency.
- Providing adhoc analysis support and Management Accounting support for the Businesses as required.
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Degree qualification along with CA or CPA.
- A minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably within a centralised Accounting environment.
- Experience gained within BIG 4 – highly regarded.
- Experience in applying accounting principles and standards.
- Exposure to a major financial system and advanced MS Excel skills.
- The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key internal contacts.
- Intellectual curiosity with a desire to implement continuous improvements.
- Well-developed written communication and oral presentation skills.
- Willingness and ability to work in a demanding, constantly changing environment.
