The role:

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Allocation and Compliance Manager Tippers to drive Boral’s operational excellence framework across our national asphalt business. You will provide functional expertise & support across all tipper allocations and compliance functions ensuring optimal performance across safety, customer experience, profitability and regulatory compliance.

This role is highly suited to multi-functional, Operations leader with demonstrated experience in on road heavy vehicle/tipper delivery management. You will have exceptional knowledge of Chain of Responsibility & Heavy Vehicle National Law, and have proven success with people, process and operating efficiency.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Secure a mix of suitable subcontract fleet capacity (e.g. Live Bottom Trailers, Tippers etc) 
  • Co-ordinate allocation of tippers across all contracting depots including cross utilisation with quarries/profiling /replenishment 
  • Assets Onboarding including systems (APEX) processing
  • Compliance audits (pre-contract & operational in use) plus reporting 
  • Compliance breach management
  • Business systems management e.g. Telematics
  • Ensuring maximised asset utilisation with a view to reduce operating costs, optimised return on invested capital and improve margin
  • Meeting all compliance obligations for HSE including statutory requirements around rail and Chain of Responsibility/ HVNL
  • Management of Fleet Administration team, overseeing the lifecycle management of fleet contractors, driver medicals, registrations, tolls, fines, etc.
  • Driving optimised asset utilisation with a focus on enabling external revenue and lowering unit costs
  • Implementing strategies to drive sustainable reductions in CO2 emissions across our mobile asset fleets

Do you possess the following skills (Preferred but not essential):

  • Tertiary qualified in Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
  • Heavy Vehicle Chain of Responsibility
  • Transport Allocations
  • Carter Management (T&C’s, Onboarding, Breach Management)
  • Building a portfolio of Subcontract Carters
  • B2B Supply Chain Logistics
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Extensive knowledge of HVNL, Chain of Responsibility and relevant Health & Safety regulations
