About the Opportunity

We have a newly created opportunity for a hands-on Production Superintendent to join Boral’s Geelong Cement Works.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily functionalities of the site, specifically focusing on people management, safety, environment, plant performance and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in driving the quality of our products in line with customer and industry requirements.

As the 2IC, you will be responsible for maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as mentoring and guiding a dedicated production team.

Duties

  • Effective management of daily operations, delivering on agreed priorities of world class manufacturing performance in line with budgeting and forecasts
  • Efficient management of human resources, contractors, raw material procurement and stock control
  • Maintaining productive relationships with internal stakeholders such as Boral Logistics and Sales & Marketing
  • Contributing to the strategic planning and execution of short-term and long-term Capital Works and maintenance
  • Providing hands on leadership to the production team, focusing on driving performance and development

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence a variety of stakeholders
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to highlight areas for improvement
