The role
Reporting to the General Manager – Kwinana North, the Manager – Area 9 is accountable for the management, coordination, and execution for grain receivals, storage and outturn processes within the area.
Key deliverables for the role include:

Providing coaching, mentoring and support for personnel to ensure compliance with CBH safety requirements and achievement of CBH safety objectives;

Leading recruitment, selection and workforce planning for the area, including succession planning and the engagement of contractors;

Providing coaching, mentoring, feedback and guidance to staff, including managing performance where necessary;
-
Coordinating the planning, rostering, resourcing, and scheduling of personnel to meet site operational requirements;

Building, growing and maintaining positive relationships with growers, customers and contractors;
-
Developing and monitoring logistics plan to ensure outloading plan is executed;
-
Planning and monitoring the allocation of personnel and equipment and machinery to ensure site targets are achieved; and
-
End to end accountability for area budgets.
Area 9 includes Narembeen, Bruce Rock, Mount Walker, South Kumminin, Muntadgin, Wogarl, Dulyalbin, and Holleton. The Manager – Area 9 is expected to travel between these sites.
The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience managing a team in an operational environment;

Proven commitment to the health and safety of the workforce;

Proven ability to plan and communicate effectively;
-
Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite; and
-
Experience in the grain handling industry (desirable).
