About the role
A unique full time, permanent opportunity has become available for an Engineer with a civil, structural, electrical or mechanical background to join our Studies & Portfolio Management team.
Working with a high performing multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for successful completion of Pre-Feasibility Studies across various multidisciplinary projects.
The position is ideal for a self-motivated, confident communicator who can effectively negotiate/influence the wider business.
As a key member of our team your key accountabilities are to:

lead concept development and work with other members of the Studies & Portfolio Management team

manage external engineering and design consultants,
-
manage internal engineering and design deliverables,
-
review and interrogate concept design deliverables,
-
write scopes of work and manage external technical studies (multi-discipline design(s), feature survey, geotechnical, traffic impact, environmental, heritage, noise, dust, vibration, etc.), and

prepare PFS reports to set projects up for success as they progress to Feasibility Study and Execution phases.
What you will bring to the role:
-
Tertiary qualifications in civil, structural, electrical or mechanical engineering with at least 3 years’ experience

Engineering design experience, including ability and confidence to frame concepts and scopes of work and critically review designs / engineering deliverables to achieve efficient, safe and technically suitable outcomes.

Strong inter-personal and communications skills to effectively convey technical ideas to non-technical personnel,

Demonstrated commitment to a safety culture and previous positive performances on complex brownfield and greenfield sites

Capable of maintaining positive focus and delivering value adding outcomes under changing directions and competing priorities coupled with constraints in available resources and time.

The ability to produce high quality written documentation, including status reports & business cases.

Advanced ability in Microsoft Office suite of tools and project management software such as Microsoft Project. Exposure to or experience in SAP a plus.
