We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Health & Safety team, within our Operations Division on a full-time, permanent basis as a Health & Safety Specialist.
Situated 4.5 hours north of Perth, Geraldton boasts a mediterranean climate and is classed as a regional city centre due to the large amount of amenities and services available. The primary purpose of this role is to provide support, advice and coaching to aid in the delivery of a safe working environment.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Health & Safety team, within our Operations Division on a full-time, permanent basis as a Health & Safety Specialist.
This position provides support, advice and coaching to aid in the delivery of a safe working environment.
Reporting to the Zone General Manager and working closely with operational personnel in head office and regional areas, the key deliverables for the role are:

Provide timely and accurate advice to the Operations Team (including Managers) to ensure compliance with all CBH and legislative Health and Safety requirements;

Coordinate and contribute to the implementation of activities and initiatives that prevent workplace injury, disease and ill health;

Coordinate and conduct hazard identification and risk assessments;
-
Develop, deliver, and assess the effectiveness of training for Safety related topics;

Coordinate, conduct, and support Line Management lead workplace incident investigations using the ICAM methodology;

Compile, analyse, and report on work injury/illness statistics in accordance with CBH requirements; and
-
Contribute to workplace health and safety consultation processes, fostering a culture of engagement and worker participation.
Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter, along with:

Minimum Certificate IV or higher Post Graduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or similar related discipline;

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health and safety role;
-
Demonstrated experience in safety leadership, coaching, and mentoring;
-
Knowledge and experience in the application of safety and health legislation; and
-
High level of communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
