This Facilities Manager role offers the chance to manage a well‑defined portfolio of social infrastructure assets across Melbourne, supporting facilities that are relied upon every day and built for long‑term service.
Working in partnership with IFM Investors, you'll focus on keeping sites safe, compliant, and operating smoothly, while building trusted relationships with occupiers, operators and service partners. This is a practical, grounded FM role, ideal for someone who enjoys steady operations, clear structure and the satisfaction of doing things properly.
What you'll be doing
- Managing day‑to‑day facilities operations across a portfolio of social infrastructure assets
- Coordinating planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Managing contractors and service providers, with a strong emphasis on safety and performance
- Ensuring compliance with statutory, safety and governance requirements
- Conducting regular site inspections and addressing operational issues proactively
- Supporting sustainability, ESG and resilience initiatives where appropriate
- Monitoring operating budgets and assisting with forecasts and reporting
- Acting as a key point of contact for occupiers, operators and stakeholders
- Working closely with IFM Investors and internal support teams to maintain asset standards
About you
- Experience in facilities management across commercial, infrastructure, government or public‑facing environments
- Sound understanding of compliance, safety and risk management
- Practical knowledge of building services and day‑to‑day asset operations
- Comfortable working with contractors and multiple stakeholder groups
- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
- A steady, professional approach with pride in running well‑managed sites
