We have an opportunity for a Property Accountant to join our highly regarded Property Management Accounting team working with our major client - Place Management NSW. You will assist with the monthly reporting of financial and management accounts in an accurate and timely manner.
The Opportunity
- Prepare monthly reporting packs, including balance sheets, profit and loss analysis and variance commentaries
- Assist with the preparation of outgoings, reconciliations, budgets and wash-ups
- Prepare and process cash and accrual related journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts
- Liaise with and provide support and guidance to Property Managers and other internal stakeholders in relation to the financial and management reporting requirements
- Effectively manage key internal and external relationships
- Exceed client expectations by adhering to requests in an efficient and timely manner.
Here are strengths you'll possess and the background you'll need to be successful;
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field; studying towards CPA/CA
- Previous experience within property accounting preferred but not essential
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, v-lookups)
- Strong time management and organisational skills to be able to thrive in a busy environment
- Superior communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
