Our leaders, members, and DE&I Council all champion initiatives to encourage DE&I as a CGI way of life. Some tangible examples of this include:

  • Closing the gender pay gap when comparing like-for-like roles
  • Offering 16 weeks paid parental leave for the primary caregiver. This is a gender-neutral policy and offered to every member once they have passed probation. The policy extends to adoption leave and in the tragic case of stillbirth.  
  • Increasing the number of part-time positions available to attract more caregivers back to the workforce
  • Reviewing and improving our current recruitment process to reduce opportunities for unconscious bias
  • Sponsoring the Girls in Tech’s Australia Conference as part of our drive to encourage more women into technology and STEM, promote gender equality in the workplace and highlight the achievements of female entrepreneurs.
  • Developing an annual calendar actively promoting different cultural celebrations.

Be Well

We strongly believe that work-life balance is a crucial part of CGI’s success and the success of our members. Wherever possible, we offer flexible work arrangements, including flexible hours and hybrid working. We encourage you to discuss flexibility during the recruitment process.

Oxygen, our global health and wellness program, is managed by a team of multidisciplinary health experts. We run monthly local initiatives including activities such as free skin cancer checks, flu vaccines, health assessments, and awareness programs such as Mental Health Month.

Our Member Assistance Program (MAP) provides free and confidential access to information, solutions, and professional support to help members and their families address a wide variety of life challenges. Our local Mental Health First Aider Network provides peer-to-peer support to our members on professional and personal struggles.

Be Responsible

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of our core values and represents a key aspect of our business model, which is designed to bring our members closer to the communities in which we live and work.

We play an active role in helping our communities through paid volunteer days, fundraising, planting trees, and sponsoring kits for local sporting teams.

Be Rewarded

You may have noticed that we call our employees ‘members’. This is because we are all invited to become CGI Shareholders and to be rewarded through our Share Purchase Plan. CGI will match each member’s contribution to the share plan up to 3% of the base salary. Our Profit Participation Plan also rewards members for the great work we do.

As CGI owners, we’re all motivated to contribute to building a company we can be proud of. This sense of ownership is woven into our management approach and can be seen at all levels of the company.
