Overview
This role is responsible for developing the business cases and assisting in roadmaps for strategic initiatives within the Group, aligned to business strategies for system transformations. This will include the support and analysis of business requirements while maintaining a deep understanding of the business and how applications and technologies are used within the business. The role will also be responsible for the management of continuous improvement initiatives, for new and changing business requirements, ensuring the business system solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of the business and projects.
The role is within the Digital Strategy and Transformation team and will work closely with the business and projects to manage technology innovation and the effective dissemination of ideas across the CIMIC Group, through the development of formal business cases for changes to business systems capability.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Business analysis of systems and business case development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the business system solutions.
- Execute and manage solution development and improvement processes.
- Proactive solution management and effective demand management of changing business requirements.
- Engage and apply standard structured approach to deliver improvement requirements identified.
- Utilise and support the consistent ICT business case management processes.
- Contribute to the sharing of knowledge and information within own function and with internal clients.
- Continuously seeking ways to improve the provision of services and processes.
- Implementing and support change strategies.
- Create and support a climate that encourages innovation and receptivity to change.
- Keep abreast of changes in the application landscape and associated technologies.
- Ensure appropriate and timely risk management procedures are established and maintained.
- Conduct appropriate risk assessment at nominated intervals.
- Business analysis and contributing to the development of the ICT digital strategy and transformation.
- Measure, report and evaluate vendor performance against contractual deliverables.
- Maintain strong, productive relationships with internal clients and other key stakeholders.
- Build and manage effective operational relationships with external service providers.
- Understand key stakeholder needs and manage expectations to ensure the delivery of effective outcomes.
Education and Qualifications required for this role:
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Business, IT, Finance or equivalent, preferred
- A strong understanding of best practice systems, e.g., ISO, ITIL or other service and quality management standards
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
Experience, Skills and Behavioural Competencies required for this role:
- Experience working in ICT in an ASX listed company, preferably with global operations.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business analysis.
- Advanced analytical skills and business case development.
- Strong solution design and process improvement skills.
- Experience in large Tier 1, complex environment.
- Parent company – subsidiary exposure.
- Project based experience – highly regarded.
- Experience in complex systems analysis and implementation
- Pragmatic, able to interface and influence key stakeholders.
- Experience working with offshore and outsourcing.
- Proven relationship management skills, including the ability to influence across multiple levels and across business units and divisions.
- Strong focus on supporting project management teams on construction projects to achieve their obligations.
