What progress will you make?
We provide a full suite of Securities Services in more than 100 markets, including our proprietary network of over 60 branches and across 23 fund domiciles. Our solutions include custody, clearing, asset servicing, fund administration, ETF services, middle office, agency securities lending, collateral management, transfer agency, and fiduciary services
We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, Middle Office Operations Oversight based in Sydney.
Reporting to the Middle Office Oversight Senior Manager this role is responsible for a range of Middle Office services, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, policies and guidelines and ensuring the timely completion and delivery of accurate client deliverables.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Middle Office Operations with proven client management skills, and the ability to ensure all deliverables within the Service Level Agreements are met. They will have a strong “hands on” operational focus and expected to optimize effectiveness and efficiency in operational delivery.
In this role, you’re expected to:
Perform daily oversight function of processing teams in relation to the full scope of Middle Office services
Development of strong client relationships, taking responsibility of complex issues and resolving client queries timely and accurately
Proactively manage SLAs / KPIs ensuring client deliveries are accurate and on time
Championing a culture of collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure a positive client service delivery experience
Work closely with Front Office in evaluating clients’ needs and proposing solutions to implement new business deals
Ensure all operational controls are observed by the team and where opportunity exist, improve to reduce overall risk exposure
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
5+ years of experience in Middle Office
Broad experience across Middle Office products and instruments including Trade Matching and Settlements, Equity, Fixed Income, FX, Corporate Actions, Derivatives, Collateral and IBOR
Understanding of fund structures, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, and the funds industry
Strong client relationship and stakeholder management experience with an ability to evaluate needs and develop solutions
Project experience and the ability to lead the introduction of complex change
Highly computer literate - MS Office applications
Degree in Business / Finance / Accounting or related field
