An Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the coordination and supply of hire equipment to customers on project sites to meet customer and project requirements. Exceptional customer service, understanding customer needs, sourcing and organising equipment for customers and adherence to safety standards at all times are some of the key requirements. This role will require flexibility around travel as there may be extensive periods living away from home (in some cases it can be 2-3 months). This role operates on a 1 week on, 1 week off basis FIFO from Townsville.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate Safety Leadership by leading and contributing to Coates Hire’s Safety First - Zero Harm safety culture
- Manage supply of equipment to customers for their projects; and conduct all pre-hires
- Respond to customer enquiries around availably, technical support and provide advice regarding hire equipment.
- Manage Fitter Mechanic (Field Service) staff ensuring prioritisation and management of workload
- Schedule monthly and quarterly service of equipment; conduct minor servicing of small plant
- Liaise with onsite client for day to day equipment requirements
Skills and ability
Your ability to build rapport and good working relationships using strong customer service skills is an essential part of this role. It will from time to time require problem solving and conflict resolution skills drawing upon the need to manage your time and demonstrate a knack for organisation. You will find yourself working unsupervised whilst managing the workload of others, and occasionally using maintenance, servicing skills and technical skills
Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience from a technical or service orientated background and be familiar with a range of plant and equipment. Ideally you will have a fork lift licence; EWP licence and be licenced to operate plant. And, ideally you are certified to test and tag electrical equipment. Some training may be provided.
