The CFS People & Culture team focuses on developing strategies to improve the employee experience in areas such as compensation, leadership, employee engagement, inclusion, employee relations, capability development, performance, and health & safety.
The P&C Consultant is part of the People & Culture Shared Services team, which provides operational support and services across the CFS business and the broader People & Culture team.
Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a dynamic People & Culture Consultant to join our HR Service team. In this role, you will respond to HR-related questions from employees and leaders across the business, ensuring accurate and timely information is provided. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate organisational change records, supporting project management and associated processes, and supporting the team in various advisory and administrative tasks.
Joining the team on a maximum term contract, you will be responsible for:
- Providing accurate and timely responses to HR-related questions from employees and leaders through all channels, including AI generated tools, email and tickets, to determine their needs and provide high-quality advice and support.
- Handling various HR requests such as employee onboarding, maintaining position data and managing updates.
- Assisting leaders with HR processes, policies and best practices to ensure effective people management.
- Proactively educating and where required redirecting inquiries into the most effective and efficient channel to access People related information such as Intranet resources & policies and AI generated support channels (AIMY).
- Contribute to process improvement and HR best practice through insights, analysis and quick escalation of issues and opportunities.
- Ensuring all HR activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, procedures and policies.
- Providing Employee Relations guidance on Coaching for Performance, formal Performance Improvement and employee management within probation, including termination with escalation to HR Business Partners or Centres of Excellence areas as required.
- Providing change support to deliver a consistent people experience, including timely management of the People Change mailbox, generating and distributing letters and associated change collateral and engagement with external providers as required.
Your Capability and Experience
- Experience in an HR Advisor/HR Consultant role, preferably in a fast-paced Financial Services or Professional Services environment.
- HR advisory/case management experience.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Curiosity and growth mindset to challenge assumptions, identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
