Your Team

The Insurance, Investments and Member Outcomes (IIMO) team is a part of the Superannuation and Investments business unit, and acts as a centre of competency for Insurance, Investments and Member Outcomes for the broader CFS business.

The IIMO team is responsible for managing various aspects of insurance and investment product management including profitability and competitiveness, associated supplier arrangements, regulatory compliance and disclosure, member outcomes assessment and product innovation.

Your Responsibilities

Working closely with the Senior Product Manager, Investments and other members of the IIMO team, you will play an integral role supporting the product management activities of the team, with a particular focus on investment and insurance related data analysis and insight.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing and disseminating investment return, pricing and insurance related data into CFS reports and charts circulated to a wide array of stakeholders.
  • Sourcing and analysing inputs from a wide variety of internal and external sources for the purposes of completing product benchmarking and member outcome assessments.
  • Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Documenting investment product changes via product specifications and change management registers, collaborating with wide range of impacted stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and providing inputs to the technical product information and regulatory disclosure materials for members, advisors and employers.
  • Sourcing, collecting, cleaning and transforming data into meaningful insights that can support product decisions, prioritisation and engagement.
  • Creating and maintaining management reporting using data visualisations such as charts, graphs and dashboards, to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Assisting with product risk management-related activities such as controls testing, investigation and breach management.

Your Capability and Experience

  • Experience in superannuation and wealth management, with knowledge of investment products and awareness of regulatory obligations.
  • An understanding of investment structures and governance frameworks, along with investment asset classes and underlying financial instruments.
  • Strong understanding of financial data and underlying processes such as unit pricing, valuations, investment compliance and cashflows.
  • An understanding of superannuation member impacts and ability to articulate the benefits in either potential investment returns or investment fees and costs.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage a variety of stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders, including SMEs, outsourced partners and consultants.
  • Willingness to learn, with a curious mindset and the ability to critically evaluate information.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; particularly Excel (essential), PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience with data manipulation tools (e.g. SQL), data visualisation tools (e.g. Power-BI) and Python programming will be highly regarded.
