Your Team
As the Senior Manager for Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), you will play a pivotal part in the FCC and Privacy team and in the broader Group Risk and Compliance team. The FCC team is accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing leadership of the Colonial First State (CFS) Group’s FCC policy framework, oversight, and advisory services. FCC leads CFS' approach to building and maintaining frameworks that enable strong management of risks relating to Anti Money Laundering & Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Anti-Bribery and Corruption (AB&C), Economic and Trade Sanctions (ETS) and Fraud. FCC is a team of dedicated individuals, and we partner closely with financial crime operations, various line 1 business and risk teams across the CFS Group. Our external stakeholders are AUSTRAC, and industry bodies.
Your Responsibilities
As the Senior Manager, Financial Crime Compliance you will contribute towards the management of the end-to-end Line 2 FCC function. You will work closely with business including senior stakeholders, overseeing and advising on matters relating to AML/CTF, AB&C, ETS and Fraud.
- Contribute towards the delivery of a strategic, and integrated approach to FCC which oversees and monitors compliance to FCC framework and implementation of upcoming AML/CTF reforms led changes.
- Assisting the business to develop, and providing guidance on the implementation of, controls (including procedures and training) to enable compliance with the CFS Group’s financial crime policy framework and effective management of FCC risk.
- Providing quality Line 2 SME advice on financial crime and money laundering matters to stakeholders and facilitate relevant risk assessments/reviews as required. This includes (but is not limited to) the provision of financial crime related risk assessment advice on strategy, products, channels and relationships as well as the assessment of FCC related risk matters.
- Contribute towards the development and maintenance of an enterprise-wide FCC frameworks, suite of policies, programs, standards and guidance, including risk models and data analytics, to drive and support the effective management of the CFS Group’s risk position within approved risk appetite.
- Supporting in the establishment and enhancement of an effective operating model for financial crime compliance and anti-money Laundering across CFS.
- As a Line 2 SME, provide FCC specialist advice across the CFS Group in line with the approved financial crime risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Your Capability and Experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Financial Crime requirements i.e. AML/CTF (in particular, regulatory change), AB&C, Fraud and ETS, preferably in Super / Banking sector
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex and senior level stakeholders with exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- FCC project management experience is desirable
- Privacy compliance knowledge is an advantage
