Your Team
The role is part of the independent Line 2 Risk function which is led by the Chief Risk Officer. We pride ourselves on being a high performing risk team that delivers at pace and in accordance with our CFS and Regulatory purpose.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the framework, policies and standards relating to Business Continuity Management, including Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and the operational resilience framework, tools, and templates, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Work with Business Units to advise on the implementation of BCP and Resilience strategies, including conducting risk assessments of internal and third party plans, business impact analyses, and supporting the development response and recovery plans.
- Assist with the second line review, challenge and oversight of controls, risks, and practices of Business Units in relation to BCP and Operational Resilience.
- Coordinate CFS-wide testing and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of the BCP, Crisis Management and Resilience plans and identify areas for improvement for CFS and relevant third parties.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as senior management, IT, operations, risk and compliance teams, to ensure a coordinated approach to business continuity and resilience efforts.
- Prepare regular reporting on the performance of the BCP and Resilience program, including key metrics, incidents, and emerging risks, to senior management and relevant committees.
Your Capability and Experience
- Proven experience in identifying, assessing and mitigating various types of risks at a enterprise-wide level including operational resilience, business continuity planning, and crisis management.
- Proven experience developing, maintaining or implementing Business Continuity Plans and resilience frameworks, preferably within the financial services industry, with a focus on superannuation entities.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to business continuity and resilience, such as APRA's Prudential Standard CPS 232 and 230, and other global standards.
- Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) would be advantageous.
