Your Team
The Investment Analyst is part of CFS’s Superannuation and Investments Business Unit. The equities team is responsible for the setting the investment strategy and manager selection for various equity portfolios. As an Investment Analyst, you will assist in the monitoring and management of various equity portfolios managed by the team. Your role will involve conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis on investment strategies. This will involve the setting of investment strategy, portfolio construction and manager selection.
Your Responsibilities
- Undertake regular research, reviews and analysis of current and potential investment strategies.
- Analyse, research and investigate factors influencing investment markets.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of materials related to the monitoring of portfolios, portfolio recommendations and market developments.
- Involvement in relationships with external stakeholders such as investment managers, consultants and investment banks, representing CFS in a professional capacity, in order to identify relevant information and research applicable to the management of portfolios.
- Presenting to Research houses and the Advice Research teams onthe Colonial First State investment process, the Investments team and the portfolios.
Your Capability and Experience
- Some experience in investment markets
- A curiosity and understanding of investment markets
- Inquisitive, lateral thinker with a desire to challenge ideas
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
