Your Team
The Senior Manager, Adviser Governance and Review is part of the Adviser Governance Team within the Distribution division. CFS’s Distributiondivision is accountable for managing the risk inherent in CFS Products being distributed by Third Party Advice Licensees.
You will support the effective onboarding, oversight, and ongoing monitoring of Third-Party Licensees and Advisers to CFS is dealing with Licensees and Adviser who deliver advice in the best interests of members and in line with regulatory expectations.
Your Responsibilities
- Execute and support the adviser governance strategy for third‑party licensees and advisers, aligned to regulatory obligations, industry standards, and CFS risk appetite.
- Conduct day‑to‑day monitoring and review activities, including adviser and licensee reviews, issue identification, remediation tracking, and escalation of emerging risks.
- Identify, assess, and analyse systemic issues, emerging advice risks, and control weaknesses, providing clear insights and recommendations to the Director.
- Prepare high‑quality, decision‑ready reporting and analysis for management forums, committees, and governance reviews, including thematic insights and risk trends.
- Support the operation of adviser oversight forums and committees, including preparation of papers, analysis, and follow‑through on actions.
- Leverage data, analytics, and emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance monitoring, risk identification, and reporting capabilities in a controlled and ethical manner.
Your Capability and Experience
- Strong working knowledge of the regulatory framework governing financial advice and third‑party adviser oversight.
- Experience in advice governance, compliance, or a related financial services function.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse issues, identify root causes, and translate insights into clear, practical recommendations.
- Experience preparing concise, decision‑ready reporting for senior leaders and governance forums.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders
