Your Team

The Asset Control Support Team sits within CFS Fund Services Business Unit and is responsible for maintaining data integrity across CFS’s ABOR and IBOR environments.

The Manager, Asset Control, reports to the Senior Manager, Asset Control, and is responsible for leading a team of subject matter experts. You will oversee the effective execution of reconciliation activities across multiple internal and external data sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely issue resolution.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery to expected business outcomes for the Asset Control team and actively seek to enhance the operating environment and help to deliver better member outcomes
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership of a high‑performing team, driving efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement without compromising service quality.
  • Ensure that the appropriate audit and risk outcomes are delivered for the functions that the team is responsible to deliver; and provide service and quality assurance reporting when required by line management
  • Embed productivity and mature working habits amongst teams to ensure ongoing business improvement objectives are met and delivered; and ensure internal quality measures are in place and actively managed
  • Assist with annual due diligence and governance reviews for all custodians
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships, including outsourced service providers and the appointed custodian, and ensure robust governance, service level agreements and due diligence processes are in place
  • Conduct reviews and ensure agreed processes are captured in various Service Level Agreements
  • System / project implementation and testing across the Asset Control function

Your Capability and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments: listed and derivatives
  • Advanced communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with executives and internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong risk mindset to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
  • Ability to organise and drive change in a dynamic business environment
  • Understanding and experience in wealth management and/or investments industries
  • Self-motivated individual who displays a “can-do” pro-active style and desire to provide excellent service to customers
  • Ability to understand and solve complex problems.
