The role of Events & Engagement Manager sits within the Sales, Strategy & Adviser Services team in Distribution at CFS, which is a national team responsible for dedicated sales & engagement strategies ultimately aimed at delivering sales pathways and enabling the strategy ready for execution via direct engagement or via the various sales teams across Distribution.

This role reports to the Director - Education, Engagement & Events and has key relationships across New Business, State Platforms, Investments and Adviser Marketing. You will play a crucial role within Distribution by overseeing the design and execution of flagship events for strategic accounts, along with centralised events for Distribution.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ownership of client experiences and activities (such as CFS-led national events, licensee professional development days) to drive commercial outcomes that are aligned to our growth strategy
  • Event Design and Execution: Take the lead in conceptualising and planning events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of events, including identifying venues, coordinating logistics, managing budgets, and overseeing event timelines.
  • Work with our SME’s to source quarterly content for consistent delivery at Licensee PD Days and ad hoc events.
  • Develop and manage relationship with external stakeholders to assist in engagement strategy and execution.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the centralised engagement initiatives and events
  • Monitor and analyse the return on investment for various engagement initiatives and events with the support of the performance and insights team

Your Capability and Experience

  • Experience in event design and execution
  • Experience in expense management, including owning a budget and measuring return on value
  • High levels of motivation, proactivity, and the ability to operate without supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Understanding of how platforms, investment, retail, institutional and superannuation markets work from an industry perspective and as they relate to CFS (advantageous)
  • The willingness and ability to develop a strong network of contacts and relationships both within CFS and our strategic account partners
  • Knowledge and experience in using event management software (Microsoft CIJ preferable)
  • Competent user of the Microsoft office suite, knowledge of Dynamics and Copilot advantageous
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Events Management preferred
