What can our construction projects build for you?
We are seeking to engage a Community & Stakeholder Relations Coordinator to join the project team on Sydney Metro City & Southwest Pitt Street Station which will provide a 250-metre-long underground Station running from Park Street to Bathurst St, between Pitt and Castlereagh Streets, connecting the two station entries with retail and other commercial facilities.
The main duties and responsibilities include:
- Liaise with the construction and environmental teams to prepare construction community notifications, newsletters, and presentation material
- Meet regularly with the project Client to provide updated construction status information
- Pro actively prepares community communications on emerging community issues
- Receive and action project complaints and enquiries to resolve complaints and provide project information
- Respond to calls and complaints received to the project community information phone line, this is a 24 hour/7-day hotline number, and email address
- Organise and attend meetings with key stakeholders and property owners
- Coordinate site events, site tours and educational site visits
- Ensure compliance with project approvals relating to community notifications and complaints reporting.
About You
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or diploma in Public Relations, Customer Service, Journalism, Communications or similar or equivalent experience. Knowledge of the Consultation Manager system is desirable.
The successful candidate will also have the following skills and experience:
- Good communication skills including dealing with members of the public regarding a range of issues
- Good writing skills with the ability to prepare a wide variety of communication materials
- Developed organisation skills
- Effective time management
- Problem solving and conflict management abilities
- Team player with positive, confident approach to working with people
