The Project
CPB Contractors has been selected to deliver the Civil/Pipeline/SMPEI scope as part of the BHP – Mitsubishi Alliance’s Blackwater Mine Tailing Solution project.
Located on Blackwater Mine approximately 20km south of Blackwater and 80km east of Emerald, QLD, the project will enhance the Blackwater Mine’s tailings management system, the scope of which includes:
- Modifications to existing infrastructure including tailings lines, raw water pipelines, electrical and process control systems;
- Construction of new HDPE and steel tailings pipelines and associated civil works;
- Construction of new valve and instrument stations;
- Construction of a new trenched fibre optic cable along the pipeline alignment;
- Installation of a new process control system and integration with existing infrastructure;
- Commissioning and handover of the system to operations
The project will operate on a 8/6 roster on a FIFO basis with an attractive remuneration package on offer.
Your Opportunity
CPB Contractors are currently seeking experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Supervisors to join our site based project team. This is a great opportunity to secure work for a Tier 1 company on an exciting new FIFO project in Central Queensland. We are also seeking Supervisors for more FIFO opportunities coming online.
As a Supervisor, you will be accountable for:
- Effectively coordinating and supervising the utilisation of all on-site resources for the project
- Monitoring construction progress and compliance to safety and environmental standards
- Ensure all operations are performed in accordance with agreed safe methods of work
- Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of the contract, the specifications, the EBA and safety and environmental regulations
To be considered you will have:
- Demonstrated 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry
- A collaborative and diligent attitude to project delivery to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast paced project environment and deliver on deadlines
- Hold proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders
- Focus and commitment to a zero harm environment
