The Disability Employment Advisor contributes to supporting the overall disability employment strategy for Crown Sydney
This is a highly operational hands-on role supporting people with disability at all stages of the employment lifecycle. In this role you will be working closely with the recruitment team, human resources and educating departmental managers. You will apply a proactive coaching approach to program participants while maintaining effective stakeholder relationship including disability employment service providers and community organisations.
This role will be recruitment focused, including talent attraction, pre-employment coaching and post – placement support to increase the overall participation of people with disability in employment at Crown. This position will be a blended role between recruitment and post placement support.
A key component of this role will be to put in place reasonable workplace adjustments to support Crown employees and contribute to the ongoing success of our award winning Disability Employment Program
Collaborating with Crown’s business units, key stakeholders and Disability Employment Service providers, the Disability Employment Advisor will be candidate focused and passionate about the Crown brand ensuring that you position Crown as an Employer of Choice in all interactions with candidates and stakeholders alike!
Key responsibilities include:
- Actively participate in recruitment, recruitment campaigns and Assessment Centre campaigns
- Educate our Disability Employment Service providers about the Crown business
- Work closely with our Disability community to attract and source talent
- Provide Post Placement Support
- Work closely with business units to educate and provide awareness how to work and live with people with disability.
- Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and provide expert advice and guidance on recruitment matters and employment legislation
What you need:
- A tertiary qualification in HR/Organisational Behaviour, Psychology or similar is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment services, internal recruitment and/or Disability services
- Understanding of barriers affecting people with disability when applying for and maintaining employment
- Demonstrated ability to partner with stakeholders and build successful relationships
- The ability to work in a flexible manner in order to meet changing business and operational needs
