Nobu Matsuhisa’s acclaimed Japanese Peruvian restaurant Nobu is the jewel amongst the restaurants of Crown Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team with one of the most recognised high end dining brands in the world.
Your responsibilities will include assisting the Head Chef in the day to day operation of the kitchen as well as providing leadership and coaching to your team. You must be highly motivated and focused with excellent attention to detail and have the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will also be customer focused and enjoy the challenge of working for an internationally renowned restaurant brand.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position within a premium Japanese restaurant
- Significant experience in Japanese Cuisine focusing on Sushi
- Excellent fish and seafood filleting knowledge as well as sushi/sashimi experience
- Effective leadership skills including the ability to train and mentor your team
- Capability to manage & monitor financial budgets and food & labour costs
- Skilled to maintain high and consistent food standards at all times while following HACCP procedures
