ESG Manager - Crown Melbourne

A newly created opportunity exists for an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Manager to join Crown Melbourne. Reporting to the Group General Manager ESG, this exciting role will be responsible for managing the environmental and social sustainability requirements, whilst assisting with the implementation of the Crown group wide ESG strategy.
Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the implementation and delivery of Crown’s ESG ambitions and strategy, particularly the environmental and social pillars
- Actively leading site-specific sustainability projects in the areas of energy, waste and water, including the development of business cases
- Managing the annual NABERs process.
- Assisting with the development and regular reporting of the Reconciliation Action Plan as it relates to Crown Melbourne.
- Assisting with the management of modern slavery risks in conjunction with Procurement
- Provision of sustainability advice on operational issues.
- Working across the various business units to inform, educate and create awareness of environmental and social sustainability
- Monitoring Australian and International ESG developments to ensure Crown Melbourne complies with all regulatory requirements as well as being a sustainability leader in the hospitality industry
Key selection criteria:
- A genuine passion to make a difference and a real desire to drive positive impacts across all pillars of sustainability
- 5 years+ as a sustainability and/or ESG professional in an ASX listed company, hospitality, property or real estate or companies of a similar scale and scope.
- Tertiary qualifications ideally in sustainability, business, engineering, environmental science or similar fields.
- Strong communication skills, coupled with the ability to engage and educate stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Post graduate qualification in sustainability, business or engineering will be highly regarded.
