Reporting to the Group General Manager- Procurement & Supply Chain, the Head of Strategic Procurement will play a critical role in leading and developing the team to drive commercial outcomes across the business. The role leads a team that manages a portfolio of indirect spend categories, including the development of category plans and strategies for each category to optimise quality, service, and price.
This role can be based in Perth, Sydney, or Melbourne.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Be part of a Procurement Leadership team developing and implementing a new vision and strategy for the function, with a focus on commercial leadership, supplier risk management and operational excellence.
- Develop and execute an ongoing commercial procurement strategy for significant and defined areas of spend across the Group
- Lead and manage a range of complex and high-value procurement activities and negotiations
- Contribute to the strong governance and transparency of Crown’s procurement framework and associated policies and procedures
- Develop successful, long term strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide insights to senior management around procurement related financial modelling and forecasts
- Lead and develop a high-performing Strategic Procurement team, maintaining a high-performance culture that delivers quality service outcomes and continuous improvement activities
Key Selection Criteria:
- 10 + years’ experience in procurement and strategic sourcing environments
- Ability to act as a strategic partner through influencing and interacting with key stakeholders across a matrix organisation
- Demonstrated success at delivering transformation projects in medium to large organisations
- Proven history of successfully leading a multi-site team
- Extensive experience managing large expenditure across multiple sites and delivering EBITDA value
- Ability to obtain and hold Casino Special Employee Licenses across Perth, Melbourne & Sydney
- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline
