Reporting to the Chief Property Design & Development Officer, as the Executive General Manager Planning and Projects, you will be responsible for the delivery of a seamless and transparent projects and development solutions supporting all business units during concept design, documentation, tendering and delivery of an agreed development solution. You will manage and oversee the Planning and Projects team working on projects at Crown.
As Crown Resorts transforms its business, Chief Property Design & Development Officer, Michael Gebhard is looking to grow his team. As a result, we have some exciting opportunities available to contribute to the strategy and execution of the future of Crown.
These opportunities are Melbourne based and applications close 30 May 2023.
Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead stakeholder signoff on detailed design briefs, including operational requirements, financial, logistical and time constraints.
- Ensure maintenance of Crown specific documents including:
- Commissioning Plans;
- Maintenance Plans;
- Services Briefing documents; and
- Handover and delivery documents.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and agreed quality standards through robust site and project management methods.
- Maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, reporting on and managing progress, budget and coordination with other Crown departments to ensure smooth delivery, timely completion and comprehensive handover.
- Manage and lead planning and project teams to oversee all site activities during the course of the project, including all site planning and setup, health and safety requirements, and coordination of works with other Crown departments, minimising business disruptions.
- Deliver reports for executives relating to various special projects such as redevelopment of specific areas, concept, and infrastructure enhancements and any regulatory directions requiring development works.
- Lead and develop the Planning and Projects team’s skills, expertise and capabilities.
To be successful, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering, construction, management or other related discipline, post graduate qualifications preferred.
- Extensive experience in planning capacities on multiple large projects ideally within a redevelopment in hospitality or entertainment, utilising planning software.
- Extensive experience delivering multiple, complex capital projects on-time and within budgetary parameters, with experience managing Builders ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 3.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to understand technical information and communicate progress to both technical and management level personnel.
- Ability to influence and negotiate mutually agreeable solutions in situations of conflicting priories with the executive committee, senior leaders, contracts, team members.
- Strong leadership experience in building and leading teams.
