The role:
This 16 month contract position as the Mercedes-Benz Truck Marketing Manager is your opportunity to be a part of strong, solutions driven and commercially minded team. In this position, you will use your extensive Marketing experience to develop and manage marketing strategies, execute marketing plans and set your focus on retail sales growth. Partnering with our national dealer network, you will be key to our success with all retail activations for our product range and value proposition promotion.
Reporting into the Vice-President, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing relationships with our primary creative and media suppliers ensuring a commitment to industry best practice
- Developing strong relationships with the Mercedes-Benz National Dealer Network in conjunction with our sister brands, FUSO and Freightliner, ensuring strategic alignment where possible
- Continue to drive the development and growth of the Mercedes-Benz Trucks brand through key sponsorships in addition to industry-based marketing and advertising platforms, with a particular focus on events and brand activations
- Ensure clear and consistent use of Mercedes-Benz Trucks branding in line with global brand design requirements
- Manage marketing projects within department, internal business units and external partners
- Manage the facilitation, planning, and implementation of marketing activities
- Enhance communication channels between business units, Dealer Network, agency partners and Head Quarters (HQ)
- Manage marketing investment and reporting
Who we are looking for:
A successful candidate for this role will ideally be an established Marketing expert with experience across a variety or Marketing disciplines. Your competencies will stretch across areas such as branding, digital marketing, CRM, agency relationship management and delivering and implementing integrated marketing campaigns. Passion for our brand and industry, and the ability to work together with the broader team to produce creative solutions to business challenges will be highly regarded. Your project management and proven ability to run marketing activities to deadlines with superior planning and execution will set you apart. Naturally, you will be an excellent communicator and highly value building strong relationships both internally and externally. As a Manager in our team, this is a leadership role as such you would have the opportunity to lead, influence and manage.
It is preferred that you will have a strong background in Marketing Management, and some knowledge of the heavy commercial vehicle industry will be advantageous. Tertiary education in Marketing is essential. Experience with Adobe illustrator would be advantageous.
