Data Scientist (SEO) - Sydney Office - Max term contract
A great opportunity for a SEO Data Scientist, which will play a pivotal role in enhancing our online visibility and driving organic traffic to our website. Responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting large datasets to uncover valuable insights that will inform and optimise our SEO strategies.
Leveraging your technical skills, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SEO specialists, content creators, and developers, to enhance our website's organic traffic and search engine rankings.
Who are you?
The ideal candidate will…
Manage SEO Data pipelines
Understand and leverage data from internal and external sources, and transform it according to business requirements.
Design robust and high performance processes to ingest data into the data warehouse using the data infrastructure in the Data team.
Visualise the data and build informative dashboards to fit the SEO team’s business needs, and communicate the insight with wider business.
Conduct SEO Experiments
Understand the business background and design the detailed experiment plan to guide the SEO experiments to test our SEO strategies.
Collect the experiment data, distill and evaluate the impact of different strategies using your Statistical knowledge
Research into the NLP/LLM space
Keep yourself up to date with the fast-growing NLP/LLM technology.
Working as a bridge between the SEO team and Data team on NLP/LLM projects, and leverage the data asset we have to create opportunities for our SEO improvement in the long term.
Attributes
Proven experience in Data Science and/or SEO
Proficient in SQL and Python/R
Previous experience in data visualisation tools such as Tableau/Power BI/Snowsight
Familiar with Statistical Hypothesis methods and able to design and guide A/B testing experiments
Experience in digital marketing platforms like Google Analytics would be a strong plus
Exposure around data warehousing (e.g.Snowflake/Big Query), Airflow or Regex would be a bonus
