The Opportunity
As Procurement Compliance Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring ElectraNet’s procure‑to‑pay processes operate efficiently, compliantly and with strong data integrity.
Working within the Finance Operations team, this role supports the integrity of purchasing activity across the organisation — ensuring alignment with the ElectraNet Procurement Policy, supporting vendor onboarding and compliance, and enabling accurate reporting and insights to support governance and decision‑making.
This is a hands‑on operational role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with systems, data and stakeholders, and who takes pride in getting the details right while continuously improving how things are done.
In this role you will:
- Administer purchase orders end‑to‑end, ensuring compliance with procurement policy and correct contractual references.
- Support requisitioners to resolve issues, troubleshoot system challenges, and enable timely receipting of goods and services.
- Manage vendor onboarding, pre‑qualification and data maintenance, ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit and risk requirements.
- Maintain and administer procurement master data including outline agreements and service masters.
- Deliver analysis and reporting to support procurement governance — including vendor cleansing, dashboards and spend analysis.
- Contribute to compliance and legislative reporting, including inputs for Modern Slavery Act and Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) obligations.
- Support training and guidance for ElectraNet staff on purchasing processes and policy requirements.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities across procurement processes and systems
About You
You’re a detail focused and service oriented professional who enjoys working in structured, compliance driven environments where accuracy and consistency matter. You take ownership of your work, are comfortable operating independently, and understand the importance of reliable procurement processes in supporting broader business outcomes.
You bring a strong working understanding of SAP Procure to Pay processes, particularly the Materials Management (MM) module, and how purchasing activities influence downstream areas such as finance, reporting, compliance and supplier management. You’re confident using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, to support data analysis, reporting and documentation.
You apply sound judgement in your day to day work and approach issues with a practical, solutions focused mindset. You manage recurring operational tasks reliably, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain attention to detail even when juggling competing demands. You also value collaboration, contributing positively to a respectful and supportive team environment.
You’ll be well suited to this role if you bring:
- The ability to analyse information and produce clear, high quality reports and procedures.
- Strong problem solving capability, applying both theoretical and practical knowledge to resolve common operational issues.
- A positive and flexible approach, enabling you to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills to work confidently with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A proven ability to deliver consistent, high quality outcomes while working with minimal supervision.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to contributing positively to team culture and shared goals
