Role Overview:

The Strategy function in Finder is responsible for shaping Finder’s strategic agenda and growth ambition. This team, led by CSO, works closely with the Group CEO and CFO on strategic priorities across key markets that we operate in, including Australia, US and the UK.

Reporting to the CSO, this role is responsible for business strategy and corporate development activities to advance Finder’s competitive positioning. The topics to be covered include company-wide strategies, strategic partnerships, mergers & acquisitions as well as fundraising.

Delivery of these important topics require strong analytical skills and business acumen, a passion for problem solving and strong collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Business strategy development and execution
    • Shape strategic agenda of Finder and support strategy objectives of the business.
    • Identify potential growth opportunities and distill insights to guide business decisions.
    • Assist to execute against business priorities and maintain alignment with broader company goals.
  • Fundraising and corporate development opportunities
    • Support fundraising process and work closely with Finder’s senior executive team on investor coverage and marketing activities.
    • Assess commercial and financial viability of potential strategic partnerships or M&A opportunities, and formulate recommendations for decision-making process.
  • Financial modelling and analysis
    • Develop practical and robust financial models for capital raising, M&A, strategic partnerships and business strategy planning.
    • Validate merits and risks of potential investment decisions on Finder’s business goals.
  • Communications and stakeholder management
    • Assist to prepare presentations for senior management updates and decision-making.
    • Build strong relationships by partnering with stakeholders across different business units. This includes but not limited to Country CEOs, Product & Tech, Legal, Finance, etc. to ensure smooth collaboration for implementation of key projects

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in corporate finance / investment banking / management consulting
  • Prior experience in deal making or fundraising for a growth stage startup or fintech
  • Proven financial modelling skills
  • “Can Do” attitude and a team player
  • Intellectually curious with a passion for problem solving
  • Has outstanding ethics and integrity - comfortable standing up for what’s right, even if it requires you to challenge status quo
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure and handle tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills - able to articulate key messages concisely and effectively
