Help shape the future of landmark, sustainable residential masterplanned communities in Queensland

At Frasers Property Australia, we believe that home is a feeling, and a place where community spirit matters. International in scale but local at heart, our reputation and legacy are built on 100 years of Australian placemaking. When you join us, you become part of an unwavering commitment to excellence, quality, and care. Together, we create stronger, smarter, and happier neighbourhoods that are connected, diverse, sustainable, and beautiful. From large-scale mixed-use developments to world class lifestyle precincts, everything we do is designed to enhance the way people live life together.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially minded, proactive, and collaborative Assistant Development Manager to join our Queensland Residential division. Reporting directly to the Development Director, this role is a fantastic opportunity to take an active, hands-on role in delivering some of Queensland's most highly anticipated, multi-generational masterplanned communities.

In this dynamic position, you will work across the entire project lifecycle - from concept design and feasibility analysis to civil tendering, contractor management, and titling. Operating as a critical link across our cross-functional project teams, you will optimise margins, manage project reporting, and safeguard Frasers Property from commercial risk. If you are a development professional with strong financial acumen and a passion for community design, this is the perfect place to build a career that matters.

How you will make an impact

• Partner with the Development Managers and Director to prepare detailed project reports, forecasts, and quarterly development reports for our key residential communities. Actively monitor all planning, development, and construction costs against budgets to optimise margins
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, external contractors, consultants, and joint venture partners. Collaborate internally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Care to coordinate project timelines, pricing structures, and settlement completions.
• Assist with the masterplanning and design development phases to deliver marketable, cost-effective, and highly liveable residential neighbourhoods. Implement environmentally sustainable design initiatives and ensure Safety in Design reviews are completed to optimize on-site maintenance and buildability.
• Drive day-to-day administrative momentum by assisting in the civil tendering process, checking documentation for design accuracy, tracking budgets in SAP, and managing property titling plans with legal advisers to facilitate smooth, on-time settlements.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for someone who is collaborative, respectful, progressive, and real. You will also bring:

• Proven experience in the property development industry, preferably focusing on residential land, civil works, or masterplanned communities. Experience with cost control, project forecasting, and commercial administration is essential.
• A tertiary qualification in Property, Construction Management, Business, Development, Economics, or a related built-environment discipline is highly regarded.
• Strong contract and procurement skills, high commercial and financial literacy (feasibility tools and SAP experience are highly regarded), and advanced communication and negotiation skills.
• A proactive, driven, and self-assured approach. You are resilient, keen to learn and grow, and have a strong commitment to team collaboration and high ethical standards.

Together, we create…

As a property developer, we’re always creating. But it’s not just precincts and projects; we believe the employee experience is a valuable asset which needs planning, great design, and a lot of ongoing care. Together, we create:

• Meaningful Work: A global and diverse business means endless opportunities to work on purpose-led projects in exciting places.
• Exciting Careers: Growth and learning opportunities, global pathways and supportive managers who ensure everyone in our business can reach their potential.
• A Place to Belong: A brand and culture which is known widely in the industry for being purpose-led, customer focused and caring.
• The Right Balance: Work-life balance and an employee wellbeing focus which means you can be at your best.

We offer a high-performance, professional environment where achievement is rewarded. We are proud to be a Work180 Endorsed Employer for all women, an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality, and a White Ribbon Accredited workplace.
