We are now looking for a technical services engineer to join our packaging team in Wellington as a preference.

Continue to develop your general desktop skills into a specialist area in great demand – Application Packaging – a role which involves effectively coordinate Application Requests and related test services that are targeted at major enterprise and government clients. You will form part of a large team of Application Packagers, SOE Engineers and Modern Workplace specialists across Fujitsu Oceania.

You will develop skills in the end-to-end coordination of Application Presentation services for large organisations. Ultimately you will be responsible for this function with one or more enterprise level clients.

To be successful in this role you will:
Sound knowledge of some of the following:
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS
  • Experience of packaging software into MSI format using products such as Admin Studio and ORCA.
  • Experience with MS App V, InTune, MSIX
  • Complete understanding of application packaging and deployment methodologies using Windows Installer technology.
  • Experienced in deployments of applications in SCCM and some exposure to Intune would be an advantage.
  • Troubleshooting skills in the area of software conflicts
  • A willingness and capacity to learn
  • Confidence to run meetings and liaise with major clients or 3rd party vendors
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in supporting end users (desktops & laptops)
  • Microsoft SCCM experience and an understanding of application deployment and integration
  • Excellent knowledge of current operating systems based on the Microsoft
  • Capable to manage Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management activities
To qualified if you might be ready for this role can you answer the following?
  • Have experience in MSI creation and modification.
  • Have you regularly configured or identified fixes for Application releases and collections in SCCM in your previous roles?
  • Have you created SCCM deployments OR fault found issues with deployments or collections.
  • Have you documented application configuration settings for use in Packaging process?
  • Have you had exposure to MSI structure, and do you know what an MST is?
  • Have experience in using SCCM logs to determine installation issues/errors.
