About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tester to join our team. The Senior Tester will be responsible for leading and overseeing the testing efforts within the organization, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead testing teams and drive continuous improvement.
About you
To take the next step in your next career opportunity we are seeking candidates with experience in:
- Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with project stakeholders to define testing objectives, scope, and requirements. Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies that align with project goals and timelines.
- Test Execution and Oversight: Lead and coordinate testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to identify defects and ensure software functionality meets quality standards.
- Provide guidance and support to the testing team. Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Promote the adoption of automated testing to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Defect Management: Track, analyse, and report software defects using defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of defects. Test Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports. Ensure that testing activities are well-documented and meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Test Environment Management: Coordinate the setup and maintenance of test environments, including test data, configurations, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure the availability and stability of test environments.
- Test Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key testing metrics to assess the quality and progress of testing activities.
- Prepare regular status reports and communicate testing results and progress to project stakeholders.
- Team Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing testing team. Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing activities.
