About the role
We are looking for Security Specialist, who will be responsible to Deliver the ICT accreditation requirements for the project and the provision of security services for Pre and Post Gate 2 activities.
About you
- Establish the security function within the project team and providing support to the architecture, engineering, and analysis.
- Define and specify IT systems interoperability.
- Implement the security management processes and procedures in accordance with the Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG)Technical Assurance Framework (TAF)
- Provide input into the end-to-end architecture development, therefore a knowledge of the Department of Defence Architecture Framework (DODAF) and Defence C4ISR capability is highly desirable.
- Within the project, be the Security Lead for defining use of security policies, practices, and standards that govern security functions associated with Information Communication Technology (ICT)systems.
- Coordinate with internal Defence security agencies to ensure correct security postures are adhered to.
- Liaising closely with the project design team to understand the technology being delivered and to provide advice on security related concerns.
- Develop and maintain the required security documentation suite to gain Defence ICT accreditation
- Capture risk mitigation controls and ensure they are documented ensuring clear and effective remediation steps are known.
- Manage/proactively support and monitor the processes/organisations in supporting the certificate and accreditation process.
Experience
- Understanding of Defence ICT Security services and experience working with complex IT projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and scope.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Defence security framework.
- Ability to contribute to, and implement, information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence across all levels of the business and prepared to confidently engage in various forums.
- Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under direction in responding to security issues and events.
- High motivation and a proactive approach to progressing tasks.
