About Us

Gemco Rail specialises in the manufacture, maintenance and overhaul of wagons, locomotives, passenger cars, rollingstock components and track maintenance equipement to support our customers to maintain their operations effectively and efficiently and maximise the life of their assets.



About the Role The Operations Administration Officer plays a key role in coordinating the end‑to‑end processing of customer orders, from initial receipt through to completion and invoicing, while also providing comprehensive administrative support to the Gemco Rail office in Forrestfield, WA. The role is responsible for managing operational administration across the full job lifecycle, including SAP order processing, job creation, invoicing, reporting and document control. You will also support production and supervisors through WIP management, scheduling, customer and stakeholder liaison, compliance reporting and general office administration. This role will report to Operations Administrator Team lead and collaborates closely with the Administration Team. About You

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of two years' relevant experience in manufacturing and/or finance administration within a manufacturing or similar operational environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well‑developed organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:

  • SAP experience.
  • Certificate in Business Administration or a related qualification.
