About the role
As the Senior Manager, Financial Crime Advisory, you will play a key role in ensuring the Bank's broader Financial Crime programme is "fit for purpose" for the Bank's contemporary structure & operations and effectively implemented across the Great Southern Bank. You will champion a strong risk and compliance culture across our business, challenge emerging initiatives to make sure they are as effective as possible and support related education and awareness initiatives.
As a senior Risk leader and Financial Crime SME, you will cultivate, manage and foster effective professional relationships with key internal stakeholders across the enterprise. You will help consolidate business understanding of Financial Crime risks and issues throughout the Bank to help relevant stakeholders manage their exposure to these issues, support issue management and change management initiatives impacted by financial crime considerations issues and ultimately help the Bank to meet its strategic objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include
-Relationship Management - Assisting the Head of Compliance in the ownership and oversight of the Bank's Financial Crime Programme, enhancing the maturity of the Bank's Sanctions and Bribery & Corruption frameworks, providing pragmatic advisory support and constructive challenge regarding the broad range of Financial Crime issues, and the professional development and mentoring of staff.
-Financial Crime Oversight - Monitoring, investigating and analysing Financial Crime related risk management activities throughout the Bank, conduct reviews/gap analysis of Policies and Standards to ensure relevance and currency and prepare papers and reports for relevant Risk Governance Committees and Board.
-Financial Crime SME - This includes working closely with other business units as a trusted advisor and coach regarding Fraud, AML/CTF and other areas of Financial Crime as they mature and evolve their business operations.
About your essential experience
-Significant experience working in an enterprise level compliance roles relating to Financial Crime, with holistic Fraud and AML / CTF accountabilities.
-Strong relationship management, consulting, and facilitation skills.
-Demonstrated experience in working with risk assessments.
-High level of self-awareness and commitment to continuous learning and self-development.
-Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Commerce, or Law.
-Professional accreditations (or working towards) in relation to AML and/or financial crime.
