Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to support the growth of our projects across Western Australia. This role will see you leading environmental outcomes across complex, large-scale mining and minerals projects. We’re looking for an experienced professional who can provide strong technical leadership, manage project delivery across the full lifecycle, and contribute to business growth through client engagement and proposal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead environmental inputs across projects, including approvals, impact assessments, and technical advisory
- Provide project management oversight to ensure environmental and sustainability outcomes are met
- Integrate environmental considerations into multi-disciplinary engineering scopes
- Support delivery across the full project lifecycle from studies through to construction, operations, and closure
- Engage with clients and senior stakeholders, providing trusted technical guidance
- Mentor and support junior team members across the environmental team
- Identify opportunities for new work and contribute to business development in the region
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical documentation for environmental deliverables
About You
You are a seasoned environmental professional with strong experience delivering mining or infrastructure projects across their full lifecycle. You bring deep knowledge of regulatory approvals, impact assessment, and environmental management within a consulting or engineering environment. Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, you are equally capable of leading technical delivery, managing projects, and contributing to business development. Your collaborative approach and ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams will be key to your success in this role.
