Looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor - Construction to support the delivery of a major construction project in a site-based, FIFO capacity. You will work closely with the project team and contractors to ensure environmental requirements are effectively implemented across all stages of construction. This is a hands-on role suited to a field-focused professional who thrives on site, enjoys working autonomously, and is passionate about driving strong environmental performance across large-scale projects.You will support the onsite implementation of environmental management system requirements, ensuring compliance with environmental approvals, regulatory obligations, and project commitments throughout construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) requirements to contractors across all project phases
  • Conduct site inspections and monitoring activities, preparing reports and raising non-conformances where required
  • Provide environmental advice and day-to-day support to project teams and contractors
  • Collate and review contractor environmental reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Deliver environmental inductions and training to project and contractor teams
  • Support audits and inspections alongside clients, regulators, and key stakeholders
  • Maintain environmental registers, documentation, and compliance tracking systems
  • Support site handovers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

About You
You hold a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with significant experience in a construction or infrastructure environment. You bring strong knowledge of environmental management systems, monitoring, and compliance frameworks, and are confident working in a site-based role. You have strong communication and decision-making skills, with a practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work autonomously. A current driver’s licence and White Card are required, with additional certifications such as Senior First Aid or 4WD training highly regarded.
